Miss Kirsty - ISTD CDE, RAD CBTS RTS - Principal

Kirsty-Anne Farrow trained at The Judith Hockaday School of Dance and Drama since the age of 3, she then went on to complete her FDI's (Foundation in Dance Instruction) and her CDE's (Certificate in Dance Instruction) in ISTD Imperial Ballet, National Dance, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap Dance. She has also completed her training for her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the RAD and has gained the Registered Teaching Status.

Performance experience includes: Dancing in Singin in the Rain, Carousel, Oklahoma, Me and my Girl and My Fair Lady - SALOS (Swindon Amateur Light Operatic Society) at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon.

Dancing at The Grandison Finals (the National Dance Finals) from the age of 7 to 16; winning solos, duets and trios on many occasions. Competing at the Imperial Classical Ballet Awards, Janet Cram Modern Awards and the Marjorie Davies Tap Awards. Dancing at The All England Finals at the Peacock Theatre, Sadlers Wells and competing with competitors from all over England; her most memorable moment was winning the 9 years Modern section out of over 40 competitors.

 

Miss Hannah - ISTD CDE, Dip LCM - Principal

Hannah trained at the Judith Hockaday School of dance and Drama from the age of 3 and went on to complete her ISTD FDI's (Foundation in dance Instruction) in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National dance and her ISTD CDE's (Certificate in dance Education) in Tap, Modern and National dance. Hannah studied Musical Theatre and Singing under the direction of Fiona Fleet and has successfully completed her Diploma in Musical Theatre with the London College of Music. Hannah is currently training for her Associate in Musical Theatre.

Performance experience include: Professional Pantomimes with Qdos and One from the Heart Productions including Jack and the Beanstalk, Peter Pan, Cinderella and Aladdin. Understudying the Parts of Cinderella and The Fairy Godmother. She has also danced in, Carousel, The Music Man, Oklahoma, Oliver, Thoroughly Modern Millie and My fair lady with Salos (Swindon's Premier Musical Theatre Company). Hannah has taken part in Youth Projects at the Wyvern Theatre and The Oxford New Theatre, Taking on the roles of Agatha in Guys and Dolls, Lily St. Regis in Annie and Martha in High School Musical.

Television experiences include: Tess of the D'Urbervilles for BBC 1.

Hannah has also taken part in competitions and festivals throughout the country for both dancing and singing including the Janet Cram Modern Awards and the Marjorie Davies Tap Awards.  

 

Miss Alanna - ISTD DDI

Alanna started dancing from the age of 3 at The Stapleton School of Dancing in Bristol under the direction of Miss Miranda Beard; there she studied RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap and Modern. She then went on to study a BTECH at Filton college Bristol where she studied a variety of genre’s including Ballet, Tap, Modern/Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. Alanna also took part in many amateur shows during her two years there which helped her gain experience in choreography and performance. Alanna then started a teacher training course at The Judith Hockaday School of Dance where she has a DDI (Diploma in Dance Instruction) in ISTD Modern and Tap. Alanna is currently training to complete her DDI’s and DDE’s (Diploma in Dance Education).

 

 

Miss Georgina - ISTD CDE

Georgina trained at The Judith Hockaday School of Dance and Drama in Swindon since the age of 3. She then went on to complete her Certificate in Dance Education in Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance, Tap Dance and National Dance.

Georgina has been working as a freelance dance teacher for two years and has choreographed many dances for school shows. She has also won awards for choreographing dances for events in Disneyland Paris and 'Dance Excellence' events in Los Angeles.

Performance experience includes: A dancer in Cinderella - a Professional Pantomime with One from the Heart Productions, a dancer in Oliver with SALOS (Swindon Amature Light Operatic Society) and a dancer in Goldsworthy's hair shows.

Georgina has also competed in various dance competitions and festivals throughout the country including the Imperial Classical Ballet Awards and the Marjorie Davies Tap Awards.

 

 Miss Michelle

Michelle started dancing at the Judith Hockaday School of Dance and Drama at the age of 5 to 16 (Swindon). During her time at the school she studied ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern and National. She took part in four dance festivals throughout the country a year, and also competed at the Grandison National Dance Awards, Imperial Classical Ballet Awards, Janet Cram Modern Awards and the All England Dance Finals. As well as taking part in the performances at the Wyvern Theatre with the Judith Hockaday School, she also performed with SALOS (Swindon Amateur Light Operatic Society) in such shows as Funny Girl, Oklahoma and Mack and Mable.
 
At the age of 16, Michelle went on to the Town Hall Dance studios where she took part in the Dance Foundation Course for two years. During this course she studied Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Choreography and Pilates and took part in end of term shows, both performing and choreographing. At the end of this course she gained a BTEC in Dance.
 
Once Michelle had completed her two year course at the Town Hall, she then auditioned and successfully gained a place at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary (London). During this three year course she studied Ballet, Contemporary, Classical solos and Repertoire, Pas De Deux and Pointe work. Michelle took part in end of term shows, both performing and choreographing, including performing in Classical Ballets Giselle and Raymonda.  Michelle also performed with the school at the Royal Opera House in Covernt Garden in her third year. At the end of this course she gained a Diploma in Dance.
 
After Rambert, Michelle moved back to Swindon and joined Swerve Dance Theatre Company. During her time with the company she performed in many places throughout Wiltshire as well as at The Place theatre in London. The pieces were choreographed by members of the company and guest choreographers. Michelle's most memorable moment with Swerve was taking part in the Swindon street festival where the company jumped off benches, twisted and turned around bollards and danced in and out of public telephone boxes!
